Early Betting Simulation Results

Yep. You were right... the money / standard deviation does increase. The slightly unfortunate part is that the expectation actually does go down a little for the multi-hand approach. I'm not sure if this is because ROR increased or if that is just the way it is. Either way, there is almost a $300 improvement and money/std goes up! Can't complain. We might want to consider bringing a little more cash so ROR goes back down below 5%. What do you think? I'm down for playing this strategy. Sorry I didn't have time to explore the other options. Maybe for next trip. The betting strategy I used in the simulation is posted under Advanced Bet Variation.

Cool. Yeah, I think if we each bring $6k we should be ok. That should bring our ROR down to around or below 5%.

Re: BJ

Alright... I'm running the sims now for (a) and the single hand early betting scheme listed below. I'll let you know what the results are later today when I get them (hopefully before I leave).

Re: BJ

Here's another case you can try:

<=13: $25 14-16: 2x$25 17-20: 2x$50 21: 2x$75... etc.

BTW, I was thinking about how often we should do table hopping. If we're doing early betting... It might be hard to transfer the count. Although it doesn't make much of a difference until counts above 18 are reached since playing decisions become important that this point (this is when I begin doubling down). So we could stick with our regular x-fering method (starting at 18 with 2x$25) after 2 decks, and before two decks we can match 2x25 with $50 and 2x$50 with $75 betting. We'll both have to be sure we're doing pre two-deck betting versus post two-deck betting. Any thoughts?

Re: BJ

I think the optimum is going to be either a or b. I don't think you have to worry about c or d.

BJ

Hey,

 Sucks I missed my flight. Looks like I have to take a red eye flight to make my one day meeting. Kinda crazy..
 Anyway, my sims show earnings/std is optimized with the following single hand first two decks betting scheme:

<=13: $25, 14-15: $50, 16-20: $75, 21: $100, 22: $125, etc...

Since 2x$25 converts to an "in between" bet, I'm not sure if the optimum caps at 15 or 16 and if it should be started at either 13 or 14.

a) <=13: 1x$25, 14-15: 2x$25, 16-20: 2x$50,

b) <=13: 1x$25, 14: 2x$25, 15-20: 2x$50,

c) <=12: 1x$25, 13-15: 2x$25, 16-20: 2x$50

d) <=12: 1x$25, 13-14: 2x$25, 15-20: 2x$50
